Overview

Centre for Governance and Public Accountability (CGPA) is registered not-for-profit, non-governmental, civil society organization working for promotion of public accountability and good governance. CGPA was established in 2011. CGPA works on transparency and right to information, democratic governance, rule of law and access to justice, peace and tolerance, economic governance, budgets and social audits.

Project Overview

CGPA is launching a digital literacy program called, Internet Dost program. Internet Dost Program is a digital literacy program for women, to educate and train rural women regarding the benefits of internet. Rural women are provided basic skills to use smart phones and access internet so that they may improve their lives through enhanced access to information and internet services. The supervisors will be working with Internet Dosts, who are local community members with basic IT literacy. Internet Dosts will be trained regarding the content and methodology of the program, so that they can educate and train women of their respective communities. Through this project, CGPA plans to reach out to women from poor socio-economic class of the following districts: Swat, Chitral, Kohat, Mansehra, Lower Dir, Upper Dir.

Job Summary

District Supervisor will be responsible to coordinate with the Internet Dosts in her respective districts for the smooth executing of Internet Dost Program. This position is responsible to identify Internet Dosts in their districts and coordinate with them to achieve project objectives. District Supervisor will have the overall responsibility as district focal person to support the project and liaison at District level. She/he will manage the interventions and help in tracking project activities ‘execution and support in record keeping and quality assurance. District supervisor has to ensure timely feedback for submission to the Provincial Head Office.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop a plan for program execution at district level for the outreach and training of 2000 women in the district.
  • Identify 18 Internet Dosts (Females with IT skills, with background in teaching or training, Job description of Internet Dost is attached at the end of this advert) in their respective districts.
  • Coordinate with Internet Dosts at the district level for project implementation under the project guidelines.
  • Coordinate with the CGPA head office to seek guidelines and provide updates regarding the implementation of the program.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the district team for organizing training/activities within given timelines.
  • Share the work plan/activity calendar with Provincial office within given timelines.
  • Participate in district cluster meetings as required.
  • Organize and conduct weekly progress meetings with your district team.
  • Conduct on-job training/coaching of Internet Dosts for standardization of training delivery at district level.
  • Implement and monitor a supportive supervision model in respective district.
  • Visit identified areas of training delivery according to the planned schedule.
  • Responsible for coordinating and managing quality assurance (QA) processes implementation at district level.
  • Collect and report agreed means of verification for each activity on the agreed timeline.
  • Prepare all means of verifications for assigned activities and share them within agreed timelines.
Required Education & Work Experience
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Females and local candidates having familiarity with context and language will be preferred.
  • Candidates with experience in Teaching & Training will be preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Management & Implementation.
  • Member of or access to, local women bodies/organizations.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Efficient user of Internet.
  • Efficient user and holder of a smart phone.
