Background

Center for Governance and Public Accountability (CGPA) is not for profit, NonGovernmental, Civil Society Organization working for promotion of public accountability and good governance. CGPA was established in 2011 and registered on January 2012 under Societies Registration Act, 1860. CGPA works in six mutually reinforcing areas, which include

a) open governance and Right to Information,

b) devolution and decentralization,

c) budgets watch,

d) parliament watch,

e) rule of law and access to justice, and

f) promotion of peace and pluralism.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assisting management in Recruitment and training of staff.
  • Initiating and maintaining Performance Evaluation record of all staff.
  • Preparing and updating employees job description.
  • Maintaining employee files and the HR filing system.
  • Employee orientation, development and training logistics and record keeping.
  • Completing all requirements and formalities of EOBI and SECP
  • Maintaining healthy environment in office.
  • Assisting program staff in finalizing their travel arrangement and maintain vehicle logbooks.
  • Prepare job descriptions, terms of reference and submission of personnel requisitions in coordination with relevant unit and field management
  • Develop human resource and administrative policies and procedures and ensure they are effective, efficient, fair and transparent, and promote equal opportunities.
  • Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR/Admin office.
  • Assess staffing needs as required. Identify and recruit new and replacement staff including scheduling of contract extensions, new contracts, and necessary terminations
  • Establish and maintain personnel files and assess training and development needs of field staff and provide appropriate induction and orientation, training, supervision and support as required.
  • Ensure receipt and tracking of all incoming/ outgoing communications (letter, fax, email and establish an effective standardized filing
Personal/professional Skills

Master Degree in relevant field/or experience in human resources management or an associated field (minimum 3 years)

  • Demonstrated skills in human resources management
  • A sound knowledge of employment laws and human resources best practices
  • A good knowledge of contract employment
  • Experience and skills in recruitment and selection
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional knowledge of basic computer programs MS Office, Excel, Power point, In-page etc.
Additional Responsibilities

CGPA has established a well-coordinated team of development professional that keep on supporting each other to improve the quality of work and to attain the intended results. This may require some additional task not mentioned in these TORs once in a while.
